I can't really call this a recipe, as it's so easy and simple to create. I've been eating this for breakfast and as a quick snack during the day too as it's so tasty and moreish. All I do is take a chopped mango, add some pomegranate seeds and blueberries, then squeeze over some lime juice (it seems to keep quite well in the fridge too, so you can make a larger portion then dip into it as you wish).

BAKED POTATO CHIPS

We make these chips all the time in our house, to serve with something else or just on their own. They're really great just simply made with a sprinkling of olive oil and sea salt; but if you're wanting something a little different it's nice to add some spices or things like fennel seeds (shown here). After cutting the potatoes into strips, I boil them until soft, then drain. They then need to go into the oven to bake - the trick is to get your oven tray nice and hot before you put the cooked potatoes on. I add my oil and whatever I'm putting on them at that stage, then once it's hot pour the potatoes on and bake until golden and crispy.

CHALKBOARD WALLS
Back before Alfie was born, I made a chalkboard for our kitchen and for a while, it looked really good - we'd use it to write reminders on or ingredients we needed. Fast forward a couple of years and both the boys love to draw on it; the only thing is that Alfie can barely reach it as I placed it too high up on the wall! Recently, these images have caught my eye - the owners of these homes have painted the whole wall in chalkboard paint, so there's room for all the family to draw / make lists / scribble funny messages to each other. More gorgeous chalkboard walls after the jump...
